The command function for CONUS, Canadian and Alaska NORAD Regions, referred to as “regions.” In the Alaska NORAD region, the ROCC is also the central intelligence, communications and operations control center established for the purpose of supervising and coordinating the combat effort of all air defense forces made available to the Alaska NORAD region commander. Under normal operating conditions (not degraded), the ROCC is responsible for the identification function and for air and ballistic missile defense of North America.
