A professional who assists forming-machine upkeep mechanic in setting up and repairing bottle-forming machines and lubricates feeder chutes and molds. Respnsibilities include:

• Removes and replaces glass-forming molds and components and adjusts shears and orifice rings (furnace channel opening), according to instructions, using handtools.
• Swabs or brushes feeder chutes and molds with oil or compound to prevent molten glass from sticking.
• Lubricates machine parts, using oilcan.
• Transfers molds to and from mold repair shop, using handtruck.
• Performs other duties as described under helper master title.
