A professional who pours molten metal from ladle into molds to produce metal castings. Respnsibilities include:

• Tilts ladle or opens pouring spout by turning handwheel or moving levers to pour metal into sand molds.
• Skims slag off molten metal, using strainer device, or tilts ladle to dump out slag.
• May move ladle from cupola or furnace to work station, manually or using overhead monorail or chain fall.
• May be designated according to type of ladle used as Pourer, Buggy Ladle; Pourer, Bull Ladle; Pourer, Crane Ladle; Pourer, Crucible.
