A professional who supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintenance of areas, such as parks, botanical gardens, and playgrounds. Respnsibilities include:

• Plans landscaping tasks, and instructs workers in taking care of nursery, planting of flowers, and transplanting and pruning of trees and shrubbery.
• Directs workers in maintenance and repair of driveways, walks, hedges, swings, benches, and other park equipment.
• Performs other duties as described under supervisor master title.
• May patrol parks to guard against vandalism and destruction.
• May supervise workers engaged in maintenance of areas along highways, around rest areas, and federal or state facilities and be designated Supervisor, Grounds; Supervisor, Rest Area; or Supervisor, Park Workers.
