• Establishes policies for inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles.

• Authorizes and arranges for purchasing supplies, tools, and machinery.
• Consults with officials of operating and servicing divisions on vehicle replacement needs.
• May investigate and evaluate cause and extent of damage to vehicles involved in accidents.
