Infrared Interferometer Spectrometer (IRIS)
A Michelson interferometer that flew on Nimbus 3 and 4, launched in April 1969 and April 1970, respectively. IRIS measured a broad spectrum from 5 to 20 μm, with a resolution of 150 km.
