• Collects weather and oceanographic data, using meteorological and oceanographic equipment and visual observation.
• Sketches surface weather charts, upper air charts, sea condition charts, and other charts and maps to indicate weather and sea conditions.
• Prepares and forecasts warnings of severe and hazardous weather and sea conditions and prepares briefings of current and predicted environmental conditions and their effect on military operations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on meteorological and oceanographic equipment.
