• Starts machine and allows cylinder to revolve until cake of lead compound has separated from solution.
• Stops machine, if batch-type centrifuge is used, and scrapes cake from cylinder into barrel, or if continuous-type centrifuge is used, starts steam pumps to force cake and liquid from cylinder into tanks as separation progresses.
