A locus of motion. The HET Clinac has many axes: collimator, jaws, MLC, gantry, couch longitude, couch latitude, couch rotation, kV image source, kV image target, MV image target, and so forth. An axis can be calibrated, initialized, servoed, and otherwise controlled by the HET Clinac control system.
